Volunteer Opportunities

This is what our volunteers have to say

I attend PD Orlando whenever I can and I always look forward to it. Giving out the bags to the homeless and seeing how appreciative they are makes my day. And also just exchanging a few words with them always make the difference.

The number of homeless people seem to triple every year and as a community it’s important to take care of one another and lend a hand to the people around us, especially the ones in need. Ever since I joined PD Orlando I felt a sense of community.

I love to go to PDO because unlike other types of volunteering, I actually feel like I have a hand in the impact that is made by being a part of the assembling and distributing process. It’s amazing to be surrounded by so many kind people who spend their weekend mornings doing this, and I look forward to every PDO event there is!

Volunteering through PDO has been a great way for me to give back to community members in need and grow as a person. Benefiting the lives of our community members is such a meaningful and eye-opening experience that is possible through this non-profit organization.

When I first came to PDO I did not know what to expect but it became evident to me quickly that the members of PDO were very welcoming and they treated me like family from the beginning. It really is like no other opportunity because you get to actually go out and interact with the people that are underprivileged and hear their stories while serving them.
